I finally sort-of finished the vanity that I bought at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I bought the mirror at the used hotel furniture place, and I screwed in some fab. knobs that I hung some vintage jewelry from.
I also bought some chair padding and black velvet and filled some old boxes with it to make some jewelry organizers.
Inside this drawer are some bracelet holders that I made by covering pieces of swimming toy float. After trimming it to fit into the drawers, I covered it with the black velvet. I secured the jewelry with hat pins...
Your vanity is fantastic! Great creativity... Don't you just love knobs? I once saw vintage glass knobs screwed into a wall to be used as dish towel holders. I have to say, I think the necklace holder idea is even better!
Ok, so I inherited some (alot) of vintage jewelry. I need your help finding a place for them. I have a standing jewelry case, but I don't have room or a clever way to organize. I love this idea...it has got the hamster in my head on the wheel!
Hello! Your blog is absolutely inspiring! I always tell Chelsea that I want to be like her mom someday! I also now know where Chelsea gets her creativity! I LOVE IT! (p.s. it was so good to meet a few weeks ago! hope you don't mind me checking out your blog every now and then).
