Baby Conway is moving!!!!!!
Our baby daughter Devan and her family are moving to Utah tomorrow for school. We will miss them!!! and we will miss the "Con-Man" and his darling happy smile.
I put these pages together on SmileBox. I love the simplicity of being able to drag the photos onto the pre-designed pages.
More Next Foodnetwork Star Auditions
Brooke got a call the other day from the NFS show and they wanted more photos of her and her family! (that's good news isn't it?!) and then last night we taped her for some additional footage that the NFS wanted. You can't see the 25 plus family members watching behind the camera. Brooke was cool and funny.
So we are keeping our fingers crossed. (and our dinner was FABULOUS!) thanks Brooke!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Beach Vacation
Last week we camped at Point Mugu in Malibu, CA. It was so nice. The weather was fabulous. This day on the beach it got really windy toward the end of the day. The kids could almost fly with their beach towel wings!
Cruz got out of the sun and shared some shade with me.
We took a nature hike one morning up the mountains surrounding our camp ground. You can see the wooded camping area and the ocean in the background. The nights were really cold. It was wonderful, especially compared to our hot AZ summer evenings.
We rented bicycles and rode to Venice Beach. The Glamkids got a education about street entertainers and the homeless. LOTS of questions needless to say had to be answered...
We met up with the Giffins in LA and ate at the famous PINKS hot dog establishment. I had the "Martha Stewart" dog. It was delicious! (and worth the one hour wait.)
We then went to the La Brea Tar Pits. The museum was fascinating and we got to see an actual archaeological dig in the tar pits.

We are now home again, but tonight we got our first monsoon rain. Yeah for that!

Happy Birthday Nash!
My Glamson Nash turned 8 this last week. We went to Wet-n-Wild and then onto Red Robin for dinner.
Then on Saturday, Nash was baptized and afterward we went to Macayos for Mexican food.
Earlier that day as is our Glamparent custom to buy our Glamchildren's first set of scriptures, I made the horrifying mistake of misspelling Nash's last name! I had to buy a second set of scriptures. Any ideas how to camouflage the misspelled name? I could use the other set on the coffee table or something...
I can't believe how dumb I can be sometimes! Oh well, it keeps me humble!

"The Next Food Network Star" auditions
Today my daughter Brooke did a taping for "The Next Food Network Star" show. She was on her A-game yesterday and had all the other contestants laughing. She got a call back for today and had to bring a dish and demonstrate a cooking skill. I can't tell you how proud I am of her. Not only is She a fabulous cook, but she has this great personality. She is kind and is always thinking of others. We made posters and the "Food Network" people taped all of us cheering Brooke on. Here we are waiting for Brooke in the lobby of the hotel.

Digital Scrapbooking...
I used my MemoryMixer program to make these pages of the Glamchildren chowing down on their hot dogs. I have all these cute embellishments to use but always end up keeping my pages kind of simple. I still think scrapbooking with paper is faster, but that is probably because I am still somewhat inept using the computer. In the mean time, I will "Keep Moving Forward" and try to concentrate, have confidence and use a little courage to become a champion at digital scrapbooking!

Happy 4th of July!
Baby Conway is ready to celebrate!
The Glamkids decorated cookies and ate them at the same time.
They also "tye dyed" t-shirts to wear at the fireworks show. We just used permanent marker on the shirts and then sprayed 97% denatured alcohol on the markers and it made the colors run.
The colors turned out a little light, but the t-shirts still look pretty good! The Glamchildren thought they were fabulous so there you go... That's all that mattered.
Most of us watched the fireworks just down the street at Luke Air Force Base. I just watched the top of the fireworks from my front yard. Fun!

WICKED
Mr. Fabulous bought us tickets to see the musical Wicked last night. I had seen it once before (and read the book ) and loved it. This time we splurged and got really good seats. We were four rows from the front and close to the middle of the theater. What a difference it makes when you can actually see the actors expressions and the amazing details on the costumes!
