Finally Finished Painting my Bathroom...

I thought I'd share some pics of the newly painted bathroom. It was not even primed when we moved in last year, so this project lasted the whole week (taking a break to make the "Spider Victim" was for sanity purposes...) Aren't these glass jars pretty!?
and here is where I display my little bird collection.
I use this plaster pedestal that I bought years ago and kept in the garden area of our last house. It has the best weathered finish. It is actually weathered! I use it in my "graveyard" during Halloween and when I was giving it a quick clean today, I found another piece of fake spider web on it from last year. Oh well.
I got this great little pink hutch at a second hand shop. I love it. Oh, and I painted the pretty little teapot and cup and saucer a few years ago.
Oh, I painted the walls Ivory with the green from my bedroom wrapping around the corner. I made these curtains from some used ones that I bought at the used hotel furniture place. (They kind of smell musty, so if I can't get rid of that I will have to find another solution.)
There you go.

"Spider Victim"...for Halloween

Today I made this "Spider Victim". Imagine it hanging along with the numerous spider egg sacks that I made following Martha Stewarts instructions in one of her magazines a few years ago. And of course I will put a BUNCH of tiny and a few large spiders on the victim and wrap some spider web around it...scary!

Happy Birthday Blue!

It has now become traditional for the Glamkids to spend a night (a cousin invited) for their birthdays. So Blue (on the right) had his 8th birthday and wanted to go to the Shrine Circus. Here He is with his BB (Best Bud) Xander .
and nothing can be scarier for me than CLOWNS! Give me any creepy bloody Halloween character, but keep those clowns away!!! (these guys seem pretty nice though...)

It's funny, but those kids just LOVE to look through the family albums even more that playing a video game! YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love those Glambabies that are growing up way too fast!

A Few Bits & Pieces of my GLAM Halloween Costume...

I've been putting together parts of my Halloween costume today. Above will be my corsage.
and I will be draped in pearls. I "sewed" together this neck piece from some cheap toy pearls that found at the store. FUN!

Sewing Halloween Costumes

Sewing, sewing, sewing, it seems that's all I've been doing lately, but what fun when it is costumes for your glambabies. Above is an "Elvis" costume for Nash (Zombie Elvis of course)
All Ava wanted to be was a princess, so I made this pretty pink dress, only to find out that she wanted to be a blue princess, thus the blue velvet poufs.

and Remi wanted to be a "dead bride". It took me a while to convince her to not put "blood" all over the dress so that it could be worn for play and maybe an "angel" in a Christmas pageant.
I guess you could say again that "fruit doesn't fall far from the tree" as these little ones love Halloween as much as I do, and the deader the better! It is taking all I can muster not to get out my decorations yet.!

My Pink Tools...

I needed to hang a painting up, so I got out my tools, smiled at the pink, and then thought that I'd share the lovelies with my friends out in bloggerland. Don't they make you smile too?

(all I need now is the pink contruction hat that my husband is supposed to get me. hint, hint)

My Scrapbooking Organizer

Most people think that this is where we have our TV...
Nope! This is where I keep my scrapbooking supplies. (I should just buy stock in the tape for my label maker) I love to just look at it as much as I actually love using the actual papers and "good crap" that I love even more. So here's to all those scapbookers (or better yet, family record keepers) out there who are just as crazy as me!

My Altered Inspiration Books

I LOVE quotes! and I have been collecting them for years now. So, when browsing the book section at the local thrift store, I came upon this old recipe book. It was Perfect for a Quote organizer! I just dolled up the outside and added new headings to the categories.
Here's my book of inspiration for entertaining and what-not...

and here is one that I glue in all the wonderful ideas I get from each of you about paper dolls and half dolls! (my doll collection of choice, they are easier to find a place for.)
So a huge shout out to all of you bloggers who continue to inspire me, thank you!
