Sewing Halloween Costumes

Sewing, sewing, sewing, it seems that's all I've been doing lately, but what fun when it is costumes for your glambabies. Above is an "Elvis" costume for Nash (Zombie Elvis of course)
All Ava wanted to be was a princess, so I made this pretty pink dress, only to find out that she wanted to be a blue princess, thus the blue velvet poufs.

and Remi wanted to be a "dead bride". It took me a while to convince her to not put "blood" all over the dress so that it could be worn for play and maybe an "angel" in a Christmas pageant.
I guess you could say again that "fruit doesn't fall far from the tree" as these little ones love Halloween as much as I do, and the deader the better! It is taking all I can muster not to get out my decorations yet.!

Will you be MY Glamma? I know I am technically a "sewer", but I truly envy what you do and am stymied by how you do it.

Do you use patterns?

I have been counting down to Halloween just to see your decorations again. Maybe this year I'll have to come over and see them in real life!

This post makes me miss my mom and wish she lived closer! She is a great seamstress and no Halloween costume I dreamed up was ever beyond her scope. I was a huge pair of lips, a pea pod, a geisha, a dead Victorian era woman, and many more thanks to her skills. I just wish she had passed it along to me! You've got some lucky grandkids.

Amazing. One question--how many hours of sleep do you get a night? I'm thinking 1.5, 2 tops. I just don't know where you find the time for all your fabulous endeavors. Can't wait for your Halloween post showing all the glambabies in their costumes.
